Bitter sweet night in NBA, Papi,Melo getting more respect

Tonight in the NBA the Magic and Cav’s were battling in game one of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Magic surprised me tonight because I thought they were a gutless team but it  seems like I under estimated them. In Dwight Howards post game press conference he said Lebron called the Magic players witnesses during his record breaking first half.

I guess that fired up the Magic because they came out to play after halftime, even Rashard Lewis. In my opinion one of the biggest cowards on that team steped up to make a huge shot late in the 4th.Even though Cleveland will take this series I couldn’t help but to think that Boston could have easily been in the same situation, beating Cleveland in game 1. Still it’s always good to see them go down.

Papi hit his first home run in 150  at bats tonight against the Toronto Blue Jay’s. Thank God for that beacause the Sox defiantly need his bat in the line up and a solid 30 home runs from Ortiz would be clutch for the Sox. I don’t know what’s going to happen after this but I hope it is more good thing’s to come for Papi.

As far as I can see the NBA suits are drooling for a Kobe and Lebro finals. They would love the ratings, jersey sales, all the money they could ask for. The L is promoting it more than almost anything I’ve seen in awhile and honestly, it makes me sick. I think they are missing a perfect promotable match up right now in the West Conference Finals between Kobe and Melo. He is getting over his selfish, immature attitude and is becoming a solid NBA team leader. I know the NBA loves their stars but maybe they should have dollar signs in their eyes for this series already.

  1. Your right about the Western Finals. It is an amazing Kobe-Melo face off.
Along with the touch of Billup, it’s an amazing series. I for one, love to see Billups play.
